Our vision at Lak FM is to bring a Majority of listeners in to our listnership and will work towards our goal with devotion.Our programs are complied in order to build mutual understanding and confidence between the sponsors and listeners gaining dividends to our valuable sponsors. Our vision is to build this confidence through widest coverage possible gained by usage of modern technology and machinery.

Our Mission

In order that we achieved our objectives we aimed to create programs on education,technical knowledge,entertainment,culture,religion,revival of our native and rural art,which is losing ground,to cater to child population,youth population and adult population and further our objectives by launching our mission by creating programs on mental,legal,social,political,economical and routine issues,faced by women and men population. And also by broadcasting programs aimed at work force and news at the instant it take place and might through you.

Mr. Wasantha Perera is the founder of Lakview Broadcasting Company (Pvt ) Ltd and Former Chair Man of Lakview Broadcasting Company Private Limited.He is a professionally Lawyer and Wise President of Lawyers Association of Sri Lanka who is practicing at High Court in past 10 years.Also he is a good Business Man with more than 15 years experience.Apart from that he is the Chief Organizer of S.L.F.P in Matale district and Member of Parliament  in Matale District,along with the President of Matale District Development Society.

Mrs. A.P.J Edirisinghe- Chairperson (B.A)

Mrs A.P.J Edirisinghe, the Directress of Lakview Broadcasting Company Private Limited. Currently advising, managing, coordinating and directing LakFM.Mrs.Edirisinghe is a Graduate in University of Jayawardanapura and Instructor of Vocational Training Authority.

From Hearing to Conscience

We Sri Lankans are a very small nation that is richly bound by our own language, culture, heritage, and cherished values. In reality we have identified that in the present context, we are facing a real challenge in preserving these against a socio, political and cultural atmosphere.  We have come forward with determination, dedication and commitment to stand by unconditionally and uncompromisingly in recognizing and embracing the true identity and uniqueness of who we are. The ultimate achievement in this pursuit is the birth of our broadcasting station LAK FM.

We are constantly reminded of an era where the radio played a major role having entwined with the life style of our people. Although in a period where vivid television and radio stations are flourishing, day by day, our efforts as LAK FM made up of veterans, towards this supreme social service is comparable to swimming against the tide. We also wish to humbly remind you that our staff most of it comprises degree holders, who have threaded the core of journalism are available to impart their knowledge positively. And that we have drawn up a comprehensive program to cater to different age groups and all socio groups.

Programs which are brought to you using ultra modern technology, backed with quality sound system with full of knowledge and over flowing with entertainment are “Sodisiya” - revealing the true picture of the current social conflicts, “Sada Yahanata” – satisfying and entertain the intellectual mind at large, “Sadakadapahane” – a talk show with the veterans of the world of art, illustrating the true objective of art, “Lak Premier” introducing the truly talented and their creativity, “Premania Raathria” – for the entirety of the eternal romance, "Lak FM 2-4” – to reflect back the unforgettable cinematic, Stage memoirs and songs, “Sanghidha Paamula” – explaining how to  apply the principles of Buddhism practically in to your day-to-day life, “Pinbarayaamaya” –  to calm your soul and for a refreshing start for a splendid day, “ Lak Udesenak” – add luster and beauty and bring out the radiance of the rising sun, “Rivisanda” – with the professionals in the field of astrology to influence your life according to the planetary system, “Diva Ridma” – to cool you down during the hotness of the scorching sun, “ Nonawathina Geetha” – to bring our sweet melodies from an upbeat background, “ Suba Sandawak” – to greet the Lunar in the evening of the day, “ Tharu Palama” – for the awakened night, “ Salapathalamaluwa” – for  a blissful life Sandarshana Wedikawa” – give light to the live musical shows, “ Lak Mini Keta” – bringing out the latent talent of the future generation, “Hindi gee” – sharing the friendship of the neighbouring state.

Because of our excellent technological equipment, coupled with the source of wisdom we were able to, for the first time in Sri Lanka, cover more than 85% of the Island within a short period of a year. Since the commencing of our officials broadcasting on the 01^st of October 2008, with FM 92 in Kandy, Colombo, Haputale, Nayabedda and surrounding areas, FM 93.3 in Nuwara Eliya and surrounding areas, and FM 100.1 in Ruhuna, Colombo, Sabaragamuwa, Wayamba, Matale, Rajarata, and the Eastern Province we believe that our efforts materialized in reaching your heart and soul with highest quality standards.

We are commemorating today the success of our excellent achievement.

There is one supreme individual who is encouraging us to pursue in this venture, sans risk and unbiased mind. With a vision of positive thinking to preserve the national heritage and for a dawn of a golden era for Sri Lanka, our chairman Mr. Lakshman Vasantha Perera (Attorney-at-Law) together with Mrs. Ashika Edirisinghe,our Managing Directress, have initiated Lak FM, amidst’s many faceted commercialized radio stations.Without indulging to adopt mean values such as bribing the listeners as a part of media propaganda, both our Chairman and the Lady contributed towards this mega project titled “Gammane Sathkaaraya” to give a facelift to 100 places of worship island-wide investing their wealth and physical participation backed with pure conception.

The Lak FM has superseded every common media propaganda by reaching the grass roots at village level to uplift the lifestyle of the rural masses by bringing hope and light, by restoring their public places such as the temples and the churches etc. We are proud to announce that the programme initiated by Lak FM towards this noble task is for the first time in Sri Lanka.

At the same time we have in the Lak FM Dr. Nalake Sanath Kumara as the Executive Director , Mr. Naamal Thissera as the Head of Programme , Mrs. Anjaani Wickrama as Programme Manager, Mr. Chulaka Liyanagamage and Ms. Ishani Atthanayake as Assistant Programme Managers,Mr. Pragath Dharshaka as Promotion Director, Mr. Thusitha Vidyathilaka as Director of Engineering and  Mr.Kularuwan Kusumathilake as a General Manager Spearheads to hold us together in the fellowship of brotherhood.
